Scrupulous, Prompt, Knowledgeable, and Thoughtful

 

Achieving consistency with an anthology of 35-plus different writers while also honoring each author's own voice isn't always simple, but Cindy was excellent at balancing the two goals. In addition to doing a great job technically, she is warm and delightful to work with. I will definitely be asking her for help again, and I would recommend her highly to both fiction and nonfiction writers who need content/developmental editing, copy-editing, and proofreading.

Cindy Marsch performed a precise final proofread for Nzinga, African Warrior Queen, a fictional biography by Moses Howard. Beyond the typical demands for proofreading fiction, Ms. Marsch mastered a complex style sheet, embedded foreign terms, and complex non-English character names. My greatest thanks go out to my editor, Cindy Rinaman Marsch. She not only used her phenomenal skills to make the story more readable, she pointed out problems and inconsistencies that only a skilled writer and dedicated editor can find. Cindy educated me on technical writing issues, took me to task for incomprehensible sentence structure, praised me when I turned a phrase in just the right manner, and made me re-think and re-write critical parts of the story and characters.
